The Emerald Ball is an annual event that raises much needed funds for Kids Rehab at Sydney Children's Hospital Network – Westmead.
Families, friends, staff, volunteers and supporters of the Kids Rehab community were warmly invited to attend the 2019 Kids Rehab premier fundraising event, the Emerald Ball.
Guests attending the 2019 Emerald Ball on Saturday 25th May at ICC Sydney were treated to a night of spectacular entertainment. The supercharged LED Dancers kicked off celebrations for our 20 year anniversary, bringing a kaleidoscope of colour to the stunning Grand Ballroom. The festivities continued with performances by Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes, singing sensation Elly-May Barnes and international comedy duo, the Umbilical Brothers. Our MC and Patron Sami Lukis stunned in Eileen Kirby couture dresses and did a wonderful job ensuring the blockbuster order of events went smoothly.
Also included in the entertainment line-up were the incredibly awesome, high energised Furnace and the Fundamentals who ensured the party continued well into the late night. Our Auctioneer Fred Frangi did an outstanding job in the Live Auction with the support of the highly charismatic Channel Nine News Reporter, Tim Davies. There were lots of giveaways, prizes, fabulous items in both the silent and live auction plus one lucky guest walked away with a brand new Subaru XV, thanks to our Platinum Sponsor McGrath Subaru Liverpool.
A highlights video from the event can be viewed and images have been uploaded to the 2019 Emerald Ball photo gallery.
Most importantly, $1,034,187.00 was raised on the night for children who have a range of disabilities including: Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Limb Loss, Spinal Cord Injury / Disease, Spina Bifida and Complex Musculoskeletal Disorders.
We take this opportunity to sincerely thank our sponsors, donors, presenters, performers, suppliers and guests for their amazing support and generosity over the years. This community plays a vital role in our operation and only with your support can Kids Rehab at CHW continue to achieve the high standards we set for ourselves, in both patient care and research. Once again, many thanks for your wonderful contribution.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 2020 Emerald Ball, which will undoubtedly be another massive event not to be missed!
